The MultiModemISDN Basic Rate Interface modem card provides high performance and easy installation for telecommuters and SOHO power users who require high speeds to send or download graphics, large files, video clips, or music files. The MultiModem ISDN is ideal for anyone who wants affordable digital access to the corporate LAN and the Internet. The MultiModemISDN is the most affordable way to provide high-speed data communication capabilities normally only found in expensive leased lines. With ISDN technology you only pay for the line time you actually use. Use the full bandwidth and still be able to make and take calls. The MultiModemISDN can combine channels for maximum 128K throughput and when traffic is low or an analog call (voice, fax, or data) comes in, one of the B-channels can be dropped.
Specification :
Modem Transfer Rate : 128 Kbps
Modem Location : External
System Type : Mac, PC
Modem Type : ISDN Terminal Adapter

Plug and Play Reality |
|
The Voyager 2000 (and the Voyager 1020 and 1010 wireless adapters) are incredibly user-friendly. Installation was simple and was "plug and play". My experience was just follow the instructions and you will be online via the Voyager 2000 in under 10 minutes. The only reason that I cannot give it 5 stars is that as a set of devices which look aimed at the consumer market then BT should at least set some rudimentary security in place. For example as shipped the 2000s in-built firewall is disabled!!! In my view it should ship with the firewall enabled and set to the highest level that allows outbound http, email and Windows Instant Messaging. For a consumer perspective this is at least a fail-safe position. Also the installation instructions could prompt the user for the set of MAC addresses for the wireless adapters that should be allowed to connect to the 2000. Again this gives a basic level of security.

Share Your Broadband Connection |
|
My son recently asked me if he could share my Broadband connection and link my PC downstairs with his PC in his bedroom using wireless technology. Although Ive dabbled in computing for many years I really was a novice when it came to networking. We knew that we wanted to use the wireless method rather than have wires running up the staircase, so after doing a little bit of homework via the internet we bought a BT Voyager 2000 wireless ASDL modem and two BT Voyager 1010 USB Adapters. We then went about connecting the whole thing together, we thought it was going to be a long labourous task fraught with pitfalls and dissapointments en-route. We were amazed how easy the job was, as a matter of fact we were up and running in a matter of minutes all you have to do is follow the Quick Start instructions and you cant go wrong its so so simple. To sum up, You do not need a University Degree to acomplish this task it is completely and utterly idiot proof and I would recommend these products to anyone wishing to share their broadband Internet connection within their own home. Go out and Buy Them !!!
